Via Montenapoleone although near the Dream Hotel Como is
expensive and is the only people really buying something
here are the rich and famous. By all means do some window
shopping but shop around before making a purchase as you
may find a simliar or the same designer product in a near
by store at a lower price

La
Rinascente department store in Milano is only 200 metres from
the Hotel Dream at the foot of Via del Tritone. La Rinascente
is Milano's equivalent to Harrods and the prices reflect this.
Nevertheless it is a huge store and oozes style and is very
cool and is certainly worth a quick whizz round.

The
Via del Corso is very near the Hotel Dream - it is
the street adjacent to the Hotel Dream - and contains
some excellent shopping and bustling cafes and bars where
you can take a well deserved break from shopping. The Via
del Corso is completely pedestrianised so no noisy scooters
or traffic will disturb your shopping spree in Milano

Go
to Fiorucci shop which is near the Duomo and located in
Corso Vittorio Emanuele - this shop contains some unique
items and is the ideal shop to go to when you are stuck
for ideas for a present for a friend or relative.

Look
for "Saldi" signs in shop windows (Sales) As the
Saldi in Milano are excellent value for money - please see

Shops
close on a Monday morning and tend not to open again until
15:00. Indeed some shops just remain completely closed on
a Monday but at least a recentl law allows shops to remain
open on a Sunday.
